Madrasah Management Software: What General School Systems Miss
Most madrasahs that buy general school software end up using about half of it and keeping registers for the rest. The gap isn't small features — it's the parts that make a madrasah a madrasah.
Hifz progress isn't a mark out of 100
Sabaq, sabqi and manzil need their own tracking — which para a student is on, revision status and daily progress the ustad records in a few seconds. Forcing this into a marks column loses the information that actually matters to a guardian.
The modules that usually get missed
- Hostel: room allocation, leave records and meal charges
- Donor and zakat funds tracked separately from tuition
- Free and reduced-fee students recorded without embarrassment
- Kitab-wise subject structure separate from general subjects
- Bangla-first interface — most staff will work in Bangla
Guardians want it simple
A monthly SMS or a link showing attendance, hifz progress and dues covers what most guardians actually want to know. Anything more elaborate goes unread.
Donor reporting keeps the funding coming
Institutions that can show a donor exactly how many students their contribution supported, with names and months, get renewed support far more reliably than those sending a general thank-you letter.
