About the project

A personal website for Khondokar Shakhawat Ali, a development sociologist, policy researcher and teacher. Built with Qwik and Tailwind and prerendered to static HTML, so every page reads without JavaScript. The site runs in English and Bangla with a matching page in each language, and covers his profile, areas of expertise, books, selected works with a full bibliography, a photo and video gallery, and contact. Each page carries its own canonical, hreflang tags and structured data, photographs are served as responsive WebP, and fonts are subset to the characters the site actually uses.
